Strike Sensor#
A TA7642 powered lightning detector circuit, connectable via a 3-pin JST-PH connector. It takes a 3V PWM input signal to tune the circuit to the TA7642's operating voltage, and outputs an analog signal to be read via an ADC. Sudden voltage drops on the order of 10-70us usually indicates detected strikes (or nearby electrical sparks). Best used with an AM loop antenna, which grants around 70km range sensitivity (perhaps more at night).
The sensor designs can be found in the kicad folder.
Driver#
Currently, the driver needs to be tested and coded according to how the new PCB/circuit behaves, so this will require a bit of work before considered "ready".
The driver code is licensed under the Mozilla Public License 2.0.
Licenses#
The sensor hardware designs are licensed under the CERN Open Hardware Licence Version 2 - Strongly Reciprocal.
